Trades.

Again.....why.

Check your transactions owners. Some trades went down. Well just say boondocks upgraded. Think I need to start a 1800dontaccept hotline for people thinking of trading. But sign it is their franchise so can't really say anything but good luck.

24 in 30. Loose Cannons

They are who we thought they were!!!!

Doug here, aka Hoyer Horses (Bag of Weeden). Time to look at Loose Cannons. Well, it has to be said, he was last years champion. Finishing at 13 - 4 and winning the whole thing. He has managed to keep key players while making epic trades to boost his already legendary status. I mean, look at this team: Brees, McCoy, TRich, DThomas, AJ Green, Gordon, and Graham. This team speaks for itself. Top 3 QB, possible #1 RB, project in TRich, 2 of the top 3 WR's, #1 TE, and Gordon who is a toss up with suspension looming. Shall I say shoe in for the playoffs? This is a young experienced team with proven talent. An upgrade at RB may be needed if TRich doesn't pan out. Gordon is an obvious issue but could turn out to be a great asset. Injury is always a concern but most of these players have been primarily healthy. Drafting in the 5th round makes his options a bit limited. Smart draft picks will be needed to preserve a strong performance. But if you think about it, this team is young enough to last for seasons to come. I predict this team will be a force to be reckon with all season. Repeat championship? Hoyer Horses....

2014 Projections- 16 - 1

24 in 30. ?

Hoyer Horses

The best team on paper. We have reached the formerly Bag of Weeden, now known as Hoyer Horses. Clever name. Last season this team went 11-6. They have re-tooled and kept their core via draft and trade. They go into this season with Manning, JCharles, LMcCoy, DThomas, Jeffery and Patterson. This team has the best of both worlds Young and Talented but Veteran Experience. I could see them walking well running through the teams in the league. They have a top 10 draft pick as well so expect them to just add to the mixture. Their team has very little questions besides injury and well that's it barring injury every player should put up numbers. We shall see what bag of.... I mean Hoyer Horses does this year.

2014 Projections- 16-1

24 in 30. Run N Gun

Make or Break season.

We have reached the Run N Gun of the Traders. They recently have made a trade to add draft picks but lost out on Bell and Nelson. Last year they were 12-5. The reason I touch on the trade is prior to the 24 in 30 this team was on pace to be elite. So in no way am I downgrading or diminishing what they have done, I have doubts now. Just one guys opinion. They carry over Manning, Morris, Ball, JThomas, Allen and Patterson. This team has potential to do work in the traders and by no means am I saying they are not a treat but I can see them as a bye week franchise come playoffs.....that's all

2014 Projections- 12-5

24 for 30. Road Warriors

March 21st, 1985. AP's Birthday. 30 in March.

You can guess it, we have reached the Road Warriors of Idlers. Last season the Warriors then known as the Steel City Curtain, Gladiators or who knows went 11-6. The team has since made moves, moves that make the tides turn. A hurricane of trades has given them an opportunity to re-core but still stay competitive. They go into this season with RG3, AP, Ellington, DJax, Cal John, Allen and TSmith. They have the possibility of snagging the orange barrels of the draft, an under construction era. 4 first round picks give them a chance to solidify the next 5+ years. But that's all great but it still is fantasy and the gods don't take lightly to this team. They consistently will carry over the best team but still cant reach Everest.

24 in 30. Wolverines

Living the dream on Auto-Pick

The Wolverines of the Traders is our next 24 in 30 franchise. Last season this team was 9-8 but over the years has been able to add solid talent via drafting and free agent signings. The team has yet to trade with anyone in the Traders Conference. That means nothing to this team, they go into this season holding on to Stafford, Tate, Murray, Marshall, Cameron, Jeffery, Jones and Cobb. Their core is young and talented. They can look for a playoff berth barring any major injuries. I couldn't imagine any trades for this squad in the near future but you never know. Only thing they are able to upgrade in would be running backs but I'm sure hell draft a 9th round 220 point running back. Ha

2014 Projections- 12-5

24 in 30. Annihilators

Annihilation Nation!

The next team in the line up is the Annihilators of the Idlers. This team put up a 9-8 record in a tough division. They will go into this season with Kaep, Bernard, Morris, AJ Green, AJohnson, Crabtree, Nelson and Gordon. This a tough line up. Will have a better season this year as far as their record goes in my eyes.

2014 Projections- 14-3

Trades.

Trading is an Option.

Run n Gun and Beast Mode:
  • Run N' Gunz gave up Bell, Le'Veon PIT RB;Nelson, Jordy GBP WR; Year 2014 Draft Pick 9.04; Year 2015 Round 2 Draft Pick from Beast mode
  • Beast mode gave up Year 2014 Draft Pick 1.10;Year 2014 Draft Pick 2.02;Year 2014 Draft Pick 3.02; Year 2016 Round 4 Draft Pick from Beast mode;Year 2017 Round 2 Draft Pick from Beast mode;Year 2018 Round 5 Draft Pick from Beast mode

Boondock Saints and RSMP:
  • Boondock Saints gave up Year 2014 Draft Pick 6.04;Year 2014 Draft Pick 8.09; Year 2015 Round 2 Draft Pick from R.S.M.P.;Year 2015 Round 6 Draft Pick from Boondock Saints
  • R.S.M.P. gave up Year 2014 Draft Pick 4.05;Year 2014 Draft Pick 4.06

My take in the boondocks rsmp trade boondocks will benefit most. As for the beast mode and Run n Gun. Might have to give the nod to Beast Mode. Bell will most likely play the majority of the season I would think. Nelson with a healthy Rodgers is easy money. Beast Mode took a step up for this season but let's not get crazy with only talking about them. run N Gun still a tough match up for anyone in the Traders.

Trade Rumors.

You Can Ring My Belllllllllllllll....Ring My Bell.

Leveon Bell was put up for offers by My Lacy Panties following an arrest. I suspect he's jumping the fun looking to trade but if this affects Bell's play on the field or suspension he could be on the Road to another team.

24 in 30. Milrats

Rat Poison, rat tail, rat pack, hood rat, rat trap, Milrats .

We have come upon the Milrats of the Traders.  Last season the Milrats went 8-9. They go into this season keeping Brady, J.Charles, Forte, Cooper, Jackson and Fitzgerald. I see this team as a shoe in for the playoffs in the Traders. Brady will have another year with his young receivers and hopefully Gronk. Charles and Forte barring injury of coarse are as tough a one two punch as it gets. Their receivers are where it gets tough to call, Cooper could see more coverage, Fitz is another year older but doesn't show tons of signs he's done, then you have Jaclson who could be a stud with RG3. So we will see but when looking at this team in paper I believe he will cruise to a good record in the season and not really look back.

2014 Projections- 11-6

24 in 30. My Lacy Panties

No skid marks in the Panties.

We have reached My Lacy Panties of the Idlers conference. Last year Lacy went 5-12 and I could see a big uptick in performance this year. They have kept Brees, Bell, Bush, Lacy, Brown, Floyd and Wallace. They have a need for another Receiver but with a recent trade  they couldn't have Cooked it up nicer. Their schedule puts them in the driver seat to a be a wild card team in the playoffs. I see them having one of the youngest talented running back cores of the league. Barring injury this team could have a great year but that's a could. I they lose out on either Brown, Bell, Lacy or brees. They are in trouble. But I have faith another year of Lacy and Bell will help My Lacy Panties.

Trade. Lacy and Warriors.

Oh Baby!

  • My Lacy Panties gave up Allen, Keenan SDC WR
  • ROAD WARRIORS gave up Year 2014 Draft Pick 1.08; Year 2015 Round 4 Draft Pick from Annihilators

Did we just see my Lacy Panties get his guy I've heard he's looking at? We shall see.

Trade. Beast Mode and RSMP

WHY?

Now I understand building up your roster via trades but this is getting to the point were I want to pull my hair out. The trades that have gone down in Traders conference make little sense at all in the big picture, the most recent trade to go down.

Beast Mode and RSMP
  • Beast mode gave up Year 2014 Draft Pick 4.05;Year 2014 Draft Pick 6.06
  • R.S.M.P. gave up Floyd, Michael ARI WR;Wallace, Mike MIA WR

  • Now on paper it is not a terrible deal I would say that RSMP got the better deal for they will use the picks to add more talent in the draft because Floyd is a question and Wallace needed to be signed by a established veteran team which the Steelers were during his tenure. Buttttttttt....Its all a bunch of shifting of talent but never getting any better because they then do another lateral trade. Its great that its an active off season but its like the USA the rich get richer (your Top 6 teams) and the poor get poorer (Bottom 6). I am just throwing it out there but I could see a potential trade from both parties involved that shifts the picks and players elsewhere for equal value.

This is why I always say don't trade to trade. read my blog if your bored.

    24 in 30. Guidos

Make me an offer I cant refuse.

We have reached the Guidos of the Traders. Last season the Guidos were 11-6 and were able to add young talent at most positions. With keeping this young talent they also will have 2 picks in the top 15 of this years draft to build off of. The Guidos are a perennial threat in the Traders and can put up numbers. They have San Francisco SFO TMQB, Bernard, Christine Michael, Stacy, Garcon, VJackson, AJohnson, Seattle Def. A team that will add talent August 23rd. They have holes in their ammor as Keap is not a lock, Bernard shares time with JHill, Garcon Health, Stacy is the front runner but not a lock, then VJackson needs to see the ball but is aging and so is A Johnson. With all of that the Seattle Def will be great again and battle the NFL offenses but can we expect the same dominance from them? Possibly. But I like their team on paper to put up good numbers equating to wins.

    2014 Projections- 11-6

    24 in 30. Dukes

    Duke Duke Duke......Duke of earl

We are taking a look at the franchise Dukes of the Idlers. Last season the Dukes went . The team goes into this season with 8 keepers, Rodgers, Gerhart, Johnson, Tate, Cobb, Welker, Gronk and Graham. They will put up a fight all season with teams in the Idlers if Gronk can stay healthy and play most of the season at the level he used to, Rodgers come back year, Graham is a lock, Gerhart, Johnson and Tate all suspect but not the worst. Manning to Welker, a call we will hear more this year. They do have to play BOW twice but they do play Griffs twice to so in their division we could see a 2-2 or if they can split with BOW 3-1. Overall I think this team has potential to put up numbers having the number 1-2 TE in the league when at 100%. I can see this team giving trouble to a few teams in the league. But their RB are all RB2 options, Gerhart is a question mark, Johnson is aging and used up his need for speed nitro, Tate is on the Browns and could be good or could be the next Terry Kirby lets hope not.

    Trades.

    No Trade clause.

Over the past few days there have been a few trades between both conferences.

    Boondock Saints and RSMP:
    Boondock Saints Gave:

    4th round pick 2014

    RSMP Gave:

    Maclin

    Beavers and Aces Wild:
    Beavers gave:

Foster, Arian HOU RB;Jones-Drew, Maurice OAK RB;Cruz, Victor NYG WR;Davis, Vernon SFO TE

    Aces Wild Gave:

    Jones and Lynch

    Beast Mode and Outlaws:
  • Beast mode gave up Cruz, Victor NYG WR
  • Outlaws gave up Year 2014 Draft Pick 6.06

  • Boondock Saints and Outlaws:

  • Boondock Saints gave up Mathews, Ryan SDC RB
  • Outlaws gave up Jennings, Rashad NYG RB

  • Who got the better deal?

    24 in 30. Boondock Saints

    Patri, Et Filii.  Spiritus Sancti.

In the 24 in 30 series we have reached the Boondock Saints. Trading is their specialty they have made 500 trades since the season finished last year. Well maybe not 500 but somewhere close to that. They kept 8 this year and made a trade for Maclin so their roster sits at Foles, Ellington, Lynch, Calvin Johnson, Brown, Hopkins, Maclin and Smith. This team is probably going to shift around two times over so check back for the trade updates once the season begins. But that being said the Saints will put together a good season. Last year the saints won their division at 8-9, this year they have added to their roster via trade and could improve slightly in the win column. I could see them being a thorn in the side to some of the teams in the Traders.

    2014 Projections- 9-8

    24 in 30. Beavers

    Leave it to Beaver.

We are looking at the Beavers, conference champs from the Idlers last year. They were 10-7. Made it through to the Super Bowl but came up short in a tough fought match. They go into this year with 8 keepers, Foles, Lynch, Ball, Martin, Bryant, Decker, Jones and Colston. This team will also carry 6 picks from the 5th, 6th and 7th round. I feel with another season and this core we could see the Beavers putting up a fight in the Idlers.

    2014 Projections- 10-7

    24 in 30. Aardvarks

The aardvark is vaguely pig-like in appearance. Its body is stout with a prominently arched back[14] and is sparsely covered with coarse hairs

We are visiting the Traders from  the burrows of the Aardvarks franchise. Last year the Aards went 11-6. The go into this season with Luck, Peterson, Lacy, Gerhart, Bowe, Welker. As far as I see it. If they can move anyone they can do something to improve their standing. This season their schedule keeps them in and out week by week. They have a core to build upon and with another year move back into the playoffs picture.

    2014 Projections- 8-9

    Thursday, August 7, 2014

    24 in 30. Cheeseheads

    Cheeseburger in Paradise.

With the ninth edition we will be visiting the Cheeseheads franchise of the Idlers Confrence. Last year Cheeseheads were 13-4. They will head into this season with 8 possibly. Brady, Newton, RJennings, Murray, Edleman,  Hilton, Garçon and JThomas. A move or two could get them  to solidify a stud or two their team is stuck in a competitive Conference where wins will come at a price. Their schedule has them right about .500.

    2014 Projections- 9-8

    24 in 30. Beast Mode

    Skittle me this?

We are examining the franchise Beast Mode of the Traders. Last year the Meteors were 6-11. They have since made trades and lots of them. Back and forth, to and from, give and take.....you get the picture lots of trades have happened. Their line up sits currently at 8, Newton, Bush, Lynch, Moreno, Cruz, Edelmen, Harvin and Gronk.  They will compete in the traders but still some questions with Cam and his receivers, Gronks health,  Lynch's future to come, Moreno follow up season.  They could hold onto 8 and build off of another season with a core.

    2014 Projections- 6-11

    24 in 30. Top Dogs

    Dog Day Adternoon.

We are looking at the franchise Top Dogs. Last year the dogs went 10-7 in the Idlers conference. This year they will pay likely run with 7-8 keepers. Luck, Cutler, Gore, Stacy, Boldin, Harvin, Jackson and Marshall. All are good players that can add up some points but still better talent at each position out there they could go after. Upgrade at RB and WR will someone who could use a better QB in Cutler, maybe move Gore and Stacy for something more, they have enough WR to package to upgrade. All around the dogs need to get something going. Through the season we will see the Idlers go back and forth.

    2014 Projections- 6-11

    Saturday, August 2, 2014

    24 in 30. Outlaws

    Out-laws.....

We are talking about a franchise that was 5-12 last year with mediocre play from their squad. They will compete but still have some room to grow. Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller, CJNO and Jennings are all maybes, they have upside but not strong, Romo and Dez matchup is nice to have as long as romo is healthy otherwise your packing your Weeden up. Crabtree, Wallace and Floyd could help them improve but still ? Marks there too. So with how the Traders Confrence has shaped up the Outlaws are just that....Out. They need a running back before wide reciever. You sit on Romo, Spiller, Jennings, Dez and maybe Crabtree, Wallace and/or Floyd. But I would probably try for a trade to upgrade at positions.

    2014 Projections- 4-13
